A population has quality and variability. Quality is responsible for universal characteristics of a human being, and variability – for special ones, i.e. special advantages. Encouragement of variability is launched on the social level with the help of many measures, including refusal from polygamy, woman’s early free choice followed by limitations for women to change husbands etc. Once launched, variability will gain momentum. But variability is an opposite to quality. Accordingly, quality will fall. In the world of competing nations, there has to exist a point of the most efficient correlation between quality and variability. When a nation reaches this point, it becomes successful. But it is unable to stop the growth of variability, and this is what destroys it – through loss of quality.
Variability against quality – a dichotomy.
Variability creates qualities, and then these new qualities start conflicting with variability. Variability settles in in a population and becomes a new mandatory quality at the same time competing with previously existing qualities.
